So, what theme widths should a RapidWeaver theme actually support?

This is something I have been thinking about these past few weeks. Traditionally, nearly all web designers and RapidWeaver theme developers have built sites using the 960px grid system (or a variant of). However the number of people browsing the internet with 1024 x 768px screen resolutions has diminished significantly in recent times. The W3Counter website suggests that 1024 x 768px resolution is still trending on the top, but larger screen resolutions are very close behind, within 1% of traipsing the leader. We're now finding that RapidWeaver themes with a fixed width of 960px or 1000px look odd in screen sizes of 1140px wide or greater. Some people are starting to say that 1000px fixed widths simply aren't wide enough any more. And indeed, they have a very valid point.
I'm seriously considering adding max-width settings to my RapidWeaver themes. So for example, the theme would display at a gorgeous 1140px wide (if the web browser window permits) but then adopt a fluid (flexible) width in narrower windows. There's a very good example of max-width versus fluid widths used in the 1140 Grid System website.
So the question is, as a RapidWeaver user, what widths would you like to see added to themes beyond 1000px? Naturally I assume bloggers would have a different opinion to photographers, to film makers, to educators, to business site owners. With this in mind, I thought it would probably be better to put the question out in the open, and get some feedback.
Traditionally I have always had 640px, 780px, 860px and 960px width settings in most of my themes. The question is, what widths would you like to see beyond these and would something like the 1140 Grid System appeal to you in RapidWeaver themes? Please leave your comments below.
